This engine house is on a cycle route called The Great Flat Lode near to the school where I teach.
This field of daffodils was just up the road from where we live. I love the tree which is so wind beaten and perfectly set against those huge clouds. I wish I could have got a higher perspective for a better sweep of the daffs.
Apologies for the lack of posts recently. The lovely weather has been drawing us into the garden so there has been a distinct lack of crafting, but lots of gardening which is all good! Will post some new pics of the garden work soon - took out a living arch and hedge which I planted 12 years ago yesterday! Yes, it did hurt a little, but the garden has been opened up and looks much better. Will post some pics soon.
Enjoy the bank holiday break.

Wow...what majestic photos Becky!
ReplyDeleteI have always been fascinated by sinigle weather directed tree shapes or bare hedge outlines...particularly against dramatic sky formations....the daffs add a new colouful dimension! Fab.
Glad you are enjoying your garden...must have been difficult taking your planting out...but pleased it opened up your space.

Thanks for your comment about the photos - glad they still look clear! Your photos look amazing, even compressed, so it's good to know it doesn't effect the clarity. Just makes it so much quicker to upload!
ReplyDeleteEnjoy the beautiful weather - I'm about to get out there!
Wow your photos are fab, really dramatic. Thanks for calling by Becky. I am not familiar with Helen Phillip's blog, perhaps you could let me know the name of it (always keen to look at someone else's potting shed!)Enjoy your weekend, love Linda x
ReplyDeleteI saw she was on your sidebar and checked her out, the shed is divine and so is her blog. Thanks for sharing, love Linda x
ReplyDeleteThat second image would make a stunning print - I can imagine it looking good in black and white, too. Liz x

Wonderful photos of the building and the lone tree.
ReplyDeleteSounds like you've been having a busy old time in the garden - best place to be whilst the weathers good!
Look foward to seeing the results, but hope you had some relaxation too!
